re patterns & promises conference at maranatha chapel, san diego, 2014

 This was a fascinating conference, May 16-17, 2014 at Maranatha Church in San Diego County (San Bernardo area). In general, I am skeptical about conferences and theologians and sermons etc that talk about “end times” and try to predict when Jesus might come again, and about millennialism, etc, and so I was guarded as the conference began. If there was a fee to attend I probably wouldn’t have been there,but it was free, so I decided to see what it was all about...

 ...There were several speakers, including David Jeremiah, as well as the daughter of Billy Graham, Ann Graham Lotz, among others. And the pastors of Maranatha himself, Ray Bentley,  gave the final message, which turned out to  be the most provocative, and included a discussion of “blood moons” and the part they play...

 I don’t have the time to carefully summarize the entire conference and key points, but I will say this: If what Ray Bentley is saying is true, we seem to  be close to a time when “all the stars align” so to speak, and something significant could happen... 

 ...Then again, when data is cited showing the increase in earthquakes etc …my thought is that “everything is relative.” Sure, statistically we may be having more quakes and other natural disasters but once again what’s a “LOT” to God ?! We could be having even many more. So we shall wait and see, but the blood moon data given by Ray Bentley was definitely provocative.
